My child is only 9, and I found their dad bought them an ipad mini! I think thats a pretty luxurious gift for a 9 year old. He also buys our child tons of name brand clothes and they often go out to eat so no home cooking, but usually whatever our child wants. I cannot afford to do that and even if I could I wouldn't cause I dont want a spoiled brat, but the thing is everytime she is here she complains about how bored she is, and how I don't get her much ( I got her a new bed, new clothes but oh, from the childrens place, so nothing cool) I also have 2 other kids with my husband so we cannot afford to waste money on silly things like that. But lately my child doesnt want to come over unless there is something in it for her, otherwise she says next time. I dont know what to do.
