Will my ipad stop being disabled if i leave it for a few months?

I forgot the passcode for my ipad and i haven't tried for about two months but i've been wondering if it's still disabled after 2 months?

I need help, I accidently hit my ipod, its still "working inside" I still receive notifications but the screen is constantly black, and won't activate when I press the wake button, what is the problem, is it expensive and what is broken inside?
