Would you get an iPad Air 2 or a Microsoft Surface Pro 2/3?

I currently use an iPhone and a MacBook Air. I need a tablet that is easy and accessible for note taking, accessing Powerpoints and PDF files.
Added (1). I'm not against using Windows - I just don't have much experience with it.
