My bf won't talk to me?

Okay so I've been dating this guy for about a week now. He likes in a town 30 minutes away. I had told him 5 days before about how I wanted him to go to prom and all he said was he might have to work. I asked him yesterday because I needed an answer and he said he didn't know if his parents would let him since they didn't know me. I had planned to go see him after school. However, I got a horrible headache and I ended up falling asleep and my mom wouldn't let me. I told him what was wrong and he said okay. I said I guess ur mad at me. He didn't reply. Today I texted him and I told him to please talk to me. He read it and never replied but when my friend messages him off of my iPad and told him it was her, he replied right back. I haven't heard from him since. It just pisses me off because he got so mad just because I couldn't come see him but he has a truck. He can drive to come see me if he wanted to. I'm just really stressed out and I had to ask someone else to walk me down for prom. Should I just wait it out or what? Please help me. Thanks in advance
