Wnr2000v4 router issues with wireless?

I've had the router for probably 6-8 months now after buying it new from radioshack. When I first bought it, it was fantastic absolutely no problems. Now within the past 2-3 months the wireless seems to be acting up. I will have a connection for a while than it completely cuts off. To fix it I just hit the wireless button on the back of my router and turn the wifi off than back on and it's fine again. Its getting to the point now of me having to do this several times a day, there are no new firmware updates. The computer and Xbox that are on a wired connection to it run perfectly fine when this happens. It seems like my wireless just completely shuts off even though the light wireless light is on. My SSID broadcast is disabled, there are 3 cellphones, 2 tablets(ipad, galaxy tab), 2 xboxs and 2 computers(one wired, one wireless) connected to it… But we typically only have 1 (rarely both) xbox, 1 tablet and the cellphones (which are just typically used for browsing Facebook) actually using the Internet. The computers stay powered off 90% of the time. The wifI cutting off like this happens weather we are home or not, and no one has the password other than us… What do I do?!

P.s. I did just change the settings again, dropping it to 54 mbps and changing the channel to 6. I will update if this fixes it.

Internet is 50 mbps down, 10 mbps up via comcast and verified on speedtest.net
