Android versus Ipad for music?

You probably have a tablet. Do you have apple or Android? If you have Android, how do you transfer your I-tune music on it?
Its my second year of teaching dance. First year, I copied all my music on my computer with I-tune… Then built a playlist each month and copy them on CD's. Last year, the CD player broke and I had to use my son (Samsung) Android Tablet. It was a real pain to transfer all my playlist.
I had create a file on my desktop, then drag the playlist in it… Then open and drag the tablet file. The problem was that all the playlist was messed up. Not on the good order and some other problems happenned but I can't remember.
This year. I don't want to go throught this again and I will have to create other dance classes… So other playlist. I am thinking of buying my own tablet but I am not sure I can affort an apple. I am thinking of an Android like my son BUT… I don't want to have as much trouble like last year when tranfering all my playlist of last year and the making the new one for this year.
Do you have any infos… Thoughts… Suggestions…
I would take any advices that you have for me.
