Do you need wifi to read a rented e textbook?

I am looking into possibly renting e-textbooks from amazon onto my ipad this fall semester but I was unsure if I would need wifi access to access the book after I rented it? Sadly my school is behind the times and does not have wifi in the classroom and the e textbook rental option sounds nice financially. Any help would be appreciated!

IPad 5 or new computer?

So I already have an iPad 2 however its starting to become quite slow now and I've noticed that I need more memory than just 16GB so I planned on upgrading to the iPad 5 32GB when it comes out.My dilemma is that my laptop is so old and slow and also needs upgrading. I'm not rich so I can't afford to get a new computer AND an iPad so I'm not sure what to do. Any advice would be nice :)
Added (1). I should probably also mention that I use my iPad wayyyy more than my laptop because I don't really like laptops to be honest. If I was to get a new computer, I'd probably get a desktop.

Why did my Ipad freeze up in my mail?

I tried replying to an email and it would not send it, saying would be set aside to send later.So I tried later and now I cannot "send" or "cancel" or anything. I am stuck ther and cannot do anything… I cannot go to other emails, other accounts or anything. I even went to settings and deleted that email account… No difference! How can I get out of that and return to my other emails and accounts? It is frustrating! Thanks for any help!

Don't remember going to bed last night: s?

Hello, I'm 15 and I wasn't drinking or anything, I just wake up like "how did I get here?" in my bed. I try to think and eventually just assume one of my parents dragged me upstairs half-asleep after falling asleep downstairs. However, after pulling myself out of bed, I realised my iPad is on charge (don't hate on me, I know iPads are over-priced) so I'm utterly confused. I wouldn't have put it on charge of I was dragged upstairs because I would be too tired, and the few times before when I get dragged upstairs, my parents don't do it.

Sp anyway, is this normal to randomly lose a memory or should I call a doctor. Symptoms of anything?

Was he rude to ask for gift back?

About 5 years ago I met an 90 year old man living in assisted living.
I started taking him out for lunch and errands a couple of times a month when I would go to town ( I live about 25 miles out ).
Several other people also have provided him transportation and assistance.
About 2 months ago he decided to give 4 different people $500 gift cards to a computer store
( my self included ) then yesterday he called & asked for the gift card back.
He said he wanted to do something else with it.
( Everyone else had already picked up an iPad with their cards ).
Altho I didn't really need it, I felt it was a gift and rude to ask for it back.
As it was specific to the computer store, it can only be used there.
I did return the card, then he promptly asked me to drive him to several places.
I just do NOT feel like Ever being his taxi again !
Was he out of line or am I being too sensitive ?
Added (1). BBG - this was some of the cash he has in one of his brokerage accounts that he had forgotten about & the clerks asked what he wanted to do with it.
He lives in an upscale place and has multiple brokerage, savings and pension incomes.
He traveled the globe before entering assisted living and stayed at $200 to $300 a nite hotels 10 years ago.
Giving it to the people helping him for years was Totally his idea.
Tacky would be taking it from someone who can't pay their bills .

If I turned off 3G on my iPad 2, will I still be charge?

I always use wifi and I turned off my 2mb internet whenever I am using wifi (3G off)
Its been 7 months since the last time I paid for 2MB 3g, but it still works

So, when i turned off my 3g and have wifi, will it charge to my cellular data?

What is a good recording mic for vocals?

I have been debating whether or not to buy a microphone for a long time and I normally start thinking about it more around holidays and birthdays and such because I have gotten into the habit of making my mom covers of her favorite songs.

This past Mother's Day, I finally got around to writing her a song and I recorded it with my computer. She loved it, but I hate how my voice translates with the built in mic.

I now have a few finished, or almost finished songs and would like to record them on my computer. But the problem is that, obviously, the computer microphone is not very good and I normally sing pretty high, begin a soprano, that there is this ugly almost static like sound when I sing. I hate it.

So my question is: what microphone would be best for recording only vocals for a soprano voice?

I am looking to stay under 200 and that would include anything the mic needs extra, like a pop screen or whatever.

I am not very familiar with recording mics and I do all my music making with Garage Band on my laptop and iPad.

Should I jail break my iPad?

I've been thinking about jail breaking my iPad and i was just wondering if it has messed up (glitches, etc) anyone's iPad by jail breaking it? If not then how do you jail break the iPad???
