Macbook pro/ iPad Pro for journalism student?

Hi there, I'm taking a degree in journalism and I have no idea what I'll be facing in my course yet but I do know that they'll be presentations, video-editing (youtube-assignments) & document writing for sure. I need a new computer and I've been wanting a macbook pro since forever but I'm not sure which one to get, what configurations, how much power do I need and etc. Also, I would expect to use it for a very long time. And also, I'm also considering the ipad pro, because ios 11 seems pretty handy. I don't know what to choose, and what configurations should I get for the products? Please help.

How can I watch cable TV on my phone or iPad?

We have cable TV installed in another room, but my dad is wondering if it's possible to watch the channels via iphone or ipad through wireless internet?

You were best friends with someone since kindergarden, and split up in 6th grade, BUT, today, in 8th grade he has so much stuff, like a gaming PC, lenovo flex, 5 PCs, 6 laptops, ps3, ps1, wii, a speaker system, TV, ipad, iphone, 2 3ds's, and other stuff because his dad gets him anything, BUT is not spoiled because he is a computer nerd and knows a lot about computers? And not just that but a famous OTer on roblox in 2012?

How to watch eclipse?

I was wondering if holding up my iPad and blocking it from my eyes while recording it would allow to me to watch it through the screen. Would this work and is it safe?

Is it stupid that I'm jealous of my ex best friend?

We stopped being friends 2 years ago, after 6 years of being best friends, ( were in 8th grade now ) but, he just has so much stuff, a 1000 dollar gaming PC that he built, a home theatre PC that he built, Lenovo flex 4, like, 10 other PC'S, rgb keyboard a TV, sound system, ps3, ps1, wii, ipad iphone, expensive canon camera, Gameboys, 2 3DSs psp, and TONS of steam games for his PC's.
He is also an expert on technology and stuff.
But what gets me though, is that MY family is actually richer than HIS, and all I have is a average PC, average laptop, iphone, 3ds XL, and a 70 buck tablet. I just don't know how his family gets the money, I'm an only child, and he has a sister that is in college

I can't get free apps without a credit card?

I have an ipad mini and just want to get a few of the free apps (IG, FB etc) and they won't let me without giving them a credit card. I don't have a credit card and i know my friend doesn't either but she has all the apps on her samsung phone! Is this an apple thing only?

Why won't my step mum let me stay up late on weekends?

Last night i was using my ipad watching videos and then my stepmum yelled "is that your computer" "TURN IT OFF NOW" And i said "but its the weekend" and she just yelled "TURN IT OFF" tonight i want to stay up and watch my fav tv show but i know she will yell at me

Should I just dress poor?

Ok so at school and mostly everywhere I'm loner I'm terrible with people. I always thought that if you had nice things people would want to talk to you more and hang out with you more. The school I go to is probably upper middle class and most of the kids dress regular, but me I bought I whole bunch of brand name cloth like Gucci, Ralph Lauren, saint laurent and other expensive brands to get more friends and stand out. I even bought an iPad Pro 12.9, MacBook, and Apple Watch this school year to show how well off my parents are. But still no one approaches me or even compliments me and I know I dress well. My problem is why aren't people liking me more because of what I have I'm quiet in class but if someone talked to me I'd try to talk too not even the girls want to talk to me I thought girls loved guys who have expensive stuff. Should I shop at good will and thrift stores and dress like I'm poor to make friends? Are all my items making people feel umcortable around me like not at my level or what?
