Is there a way to get a movie from my laptop on a DVD onto my ipad?

I'm gonna watch movies this weekend, but my laptop is the only thing (besides my TV) that has a dvd drive. My laptop is heavy and I don't like it against my lap for long periods of time. I also don't like watching movies on a TV screen. So is there a way to connect my laptop to my iPad so I can watch it more comfortably?

Should I choose an iPad mini or something else?

My dad currently has an iPod touch 5th generation that hasn t been working recently so he s decided to get something new. He doesn't want another iPod touch and doesn't want an iPad but does want something the size between an iPod touch and an iPad. Should he just get an iPad mini or is there something else out there I should look into?

What size photos should I print for an art show?

I have been invited to present my photos for an art show. I'm shocked! I will be the featured artist along with a musician and a chef. My question is - how big do I print the pictures and should I spend extra funds to frame in expensive frames? The photos will be hung on a brick wall and I will have the option to sell. I was thinking I would have a few signature pieces in expensive frames (I have a local framer that makes frames for me) but then frame the rest in simple frames to make them affordable for buyers. I was also planning on bringing an Ipad with the rest of my online gallery for buyers to chose other photos not printed. The promoter suggested 8x10 prints to hang with a few bigger pieces but I hate cropping to get them to fit. I'm so at a loss over this!

I want to edit a bunch of images with the polygonal lasso tool found in Photoshop. I don't have Photoshop though, what is the cheapest version available that would provide me with this feature (iPad version included)?

Repurposing an iPad Trolley?
