Why don't people say thank you for gifts?

This girl who works at Starbucks iPad was stolen. She sat it down while talking to another employee and this guy grabbed it and dashed out of the store. She was crying, shaking and very distraught; I tried to calm her down, and I even attempted to find the guy to no avail. I went to the Apple store the same day and bought her a new iPad ($350) and mailed it to her job. I included a note telling her who I'm and why I was sending it, I didn't want her to think that I was some guy hitting on her. The UPS tracking shows that the package was delivered and signed for, but she never called or sent me a thank you letter. It's been two weeks. Knowing I did a good deed is all I need but I wanted to also witness her elation.

Grounded for ditching school?

So I ditched school for 1 day and my mum found out. As soon as I got home my mum smashed my phone, computer, wifi, tv and my Ipad. I'm grounded for 3 months and i'm not allowed to see any of my friends and she even contacted my friends to tell them that i don't want to be friends with them and making out that she s me. I do want to be friends with them but she s told them I don't. Do you think this is a bad punishment? I also brought all my things with my own money

i bought an ipad pro 12.9 about 2 months ago. I regret not getting a macbook air. My ipad has not been damaged at all and rarely used. I can't get a refund i'm guessing and i can't sell it as if i sell it will i still get 900 pounds?

What the name of this game is?

I believe it's an app you can download on ipads (or at least, you used to be able to) and it's this game about a little boy trying to find and save his lost mom. The main portion of the game is set in a really cold, winter-y setting. There's a village with people and a blacksmith, and at one point there's a sort of ice cave you have to travel through. The boy has to warm up near torches from time to time or he ll freeze to death, until he is given a suit he can wear to keep himself warm at all times, and eventually you gain the ability to change the seasons. It's sort of like a puzzle/story game. I know this is a long shot, but can anyone help me find this game?
