My skype app on my ipad wont connect?

I am connected to the internet, it will load everything else on my ipad involving internet but skype wont connect. I am trying to create a account and it wont work.help???
i have redownlaoded it 2 times
it cimes up as "cannot connect, check your network settings."
what does that mean

I reset the router on a daily basis trying to fix this, but once i reset the router the ipad will only connect for a few hours.does anyone know how to fix this?

Too many devices using wifi?

We have been having problems lately being kicked off our wifi or not connecting at all.Im wondering if we have too many things connected to wifi? is that a thing? we have 2 guys in the house that run call of duty and WOW simultaneously as well as 4 phones and a few laptops/ipads. Our current router is a few years old, just wondering if we got a newer router if that would fix it or not?

Can i download free books on my Ipad?

I love to read and I want to get books on my Ipad. Only one problem I dont want to spend any money not because im cheap but because im only 12 my mom would never loan me money for something like that and their prices are high. If there is any way that i can download books onto my Ipad please let me know. Dont leave out any details please tell me a app so i can download it and be happy:-D.
