I've treated my friend pretty horribly over the years (we met 2 years ago..and I'm not intentionally trying to treat her bad, I've been dealing with some issues but I don't feel like explaining), yet she's still so nice to me, still tries to be my friend, looks sad/stare at me when I don't talk to her, I'm so confused… Why would someone still continue to try to be friends with someone who acts like this:
- I act awkward and weird around her sometimes
- Sometimes I ignore her, go weeks without talking to her
- Sometimes I'm really quiet
- We'eve never really hung out before alone
- Whenever we're actually alone together it's the most awkward thing ever
- There's been days when things were just so weird between us, awkward conversations, I'd be ignoring her, etc… then the next day she's so happy to see me, hugs me, compliments me a lot…
One time we were at this place… she was with her own group of friends and I was sitting at this place with my friend… then she came over with her friends and smiled at me, sat at a table nearby and kept staring at me… Whenever I talk to other people, she watches me. Her friends are all confident, talkative, fun (like how I used to be), they seem pretty cool, yet she's still after me, trying to become my friend? I'm so grateful, but why? For the past 2 years, she's been so nice to me. When we first me she'd stare at me all the time, say hi in the halls, invites me over to her groups, was always like "you can talk to me whenever :)"
One time, we were at this field trip camp thing with our school, we were watching movies on her iPad. Then the counselors came in and said we had to go to our rooms. Then I was like "Aww I wish we could finish the movie" then she was like "you can take my ipad if you want :)" And her cousin was looking at her like "are you serious?"… She's very nice.
I can kinda understand why she may have liked me when we first met… I was pretty talkative and confident sometimes… but that was only on my good days… usually I was still pretty quiet.
We were never close friends, but last year we used to stay up all night talking on the phone… but in person I'd still kinda ignore her, act kinda awkward.
She's one of those extremely beautiful girls all the guys (even girls and teachers) love, but she's very quiet and reserved, pretty passive.
