I have a ipad 1 but am looking to purchase a new ipad which 1 do I go for?

We bought the first ipad when it first came out but it is now riddled with faults. It won't update
It won't charge
It won't download apps etc
We want to purchase a new one but don't no which to go for. I don't care about pixels and all that crap. To me the iPad Air does the same as air 2 for what I care about ( cost is much greater tho ) but if I buy a air 1 will it last as long as air 2 or will it fail to update sooner etc?

Added (1). Hello,

I have a table where I will be selling things at a market, and I wanted to leave an ipad at the table showing how the products work. I will likely always be near the table, and there is security at the event, but I wanted to somehow lock the ipad to the table, to guarantee it won't be stolen if I turn my back.
Added (2). At electronic stores, you always see devices attached to the tables with a cord and locked in a metal case. Is there somewhere I can buy this, or another easier, diy way to attach it to the table?

How do some people get these programs free?

I really want Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro, stuff that like for film editing because I just use iMovie on an ipad and i'm getting so annoyed by it. I cant even animate text it just fades in and out and i cant do anything cool like jontron or people like that. So how do people get these for free?

How to unlock the passcode on my iPad?

I made the passcode on my iPad too complicated and haven't used it in a while. Now I've forgotten it and keep getting disabled when i enter it.
I've erased it off my iCloud.com account on the Find my devices, but when I try to sync it or restore it on iTunes it keeps telling me that I need to turn off the find my iPad setting on the device. How am I supposed to do that if its locked? Apple support has not helped.

No puedo recibir mis correos en el Mail del iPad?

Lo que pasa es que desde que lo compré nunca, pero NUNCA recibÃÂ- algún Mail, y me dice "Error al conectarse con el servidor". He intentado todo, reiniciarlo, comprobar el Internet mil veces, y nada.
Si saben algo, por favor, dÃÂ-ganme.

Tips/Advice for living off campus for the first time?

I'm a 3rd year and going to be living off campus for the very first time. I'm going to be renting a room in a house and the only thing I have to buy is bedroom furniture and my own stuff for the kitchen. I would just like some tips for cooking, commuting, etc. Also, do you think it would be best to invest in an iPad for long class days so I don't have to carry a laptop?

What is the price to repair a cracked iPad screen?

Yesterday, I cracked my iPad screen so tomorrow I'm going to the apple store to fix it. I just want to know about how much it will cost to repair it, so I'll be able to decide if it's worth it or not, or if anywhere else has a better deal.
