Should i buy an iPad or A new laptop?

So for Christmas im thinking of buying either an ipad or a laptop.
i have never owned an iPad and i would rather use it over my iPod
but at the same time my pc is not good as you can hear the fan really loud (i have another pc but i use that mainly for games (6gb ram.

Added (1). My ipad was jammed between my car seat and door and although the outside is perfectly functional and touch controls work, the left half of the screen is dead pixels. Apple will charge $250 for replacement =( can I buy the part and repair it myself? Or is there a cheaper repair service? What should I do? Its a ipad mini 2 retina 16 gb

How much would my ipad sell for?

It's the first ipad and it's still on the old update. Like before the big update to ios7. It also has flappy bird on it if that still matters lol. A few scratches. 32G. No personalization. Comes with charger. Everything still works as if new.

Can a Teacher take your phone, iPod, iPad, etc away from you?

I'm graduating this Friday and for the week, the classes have all finished their assignments including me and I will just be sitting in a classroom literally waiting for school to be over.

So I figured, I have "NOTHING" absolutely nothing wrong or bad on my iPad. I was wondering if I take it to school, can teachers take it away?

It might sound silly, but teachers have always taken things away phones from students and I am just a bit worried.

How to babysit bad children?

So I have to baby sit from 6:30pm to 2am while the parents party… Anyway they have 4 kids 1 girl and 3 boys. The girl is 2yrs old and the boys are 6, 8 and 10. And they always fight. They also swear and hit there sister. The last time I watched them the poured water onto the kitchen table then when I made them clean it up the little girl cried and they ran. She gets mad when dont let her play with my phone but then the boys just push her over and take it. When I try to tell them they saw well she's annoying. Then the older one says (btw im short for 15 and he's pretty tall so we are almost the same height) but anyway he says that he won't listen because hes my height. They are not good. I can't even have them in the same room withojt killing each other! When I took over my iPad to do school work they hid it and I spent the whole night looking for it. They also trash the house. Anyway they are awful! Any tips!

Is the iPad really worth it guys?

I need at least 64GB and want a Verizon cellular plan with it. I like the bigger screen for watching movies/shows. An iPad with these qualities costs $780 on Amazon.

I could get a fire hdx for $200-300 less with these qualities.

Is the iPad worth the extra money?
Added (1). The main reason I'm leaning for an iPad is that I want to use iTunes for my downloads. But the price is unreasonable…

Skate 3 skater with my name?

Hey guys,
So, my brother was playing Skate 3 on his account, and he was just on offline. I repeat, OFFLINE. He wasn't on the PS3 for a bit because he was focused on his iPad, when I suddenly saw a skater with the name ZombieNation4Life (Al) above him. That was fine. Until then, I saw another skater with MY username over his head.

I was worried for a bit that my brother was online and someone had hacked my account or used my username. It was above the skater's head with the "(Al)" at the end. My brother and I haven't played Skate 3 in MONTHS, so we practically don't know anything about it anymore besides basic controls. Could someone please explain this to me?

Why can't my iPad download apps?

My dad got me an old, used iPad one because my laptop broke and we couldn't afford one so he got me an iPad. It sucks because I cant download apps. It says I needed to make an ape account so I clicked sign up, but then it says I need my IOS updated, but my IOS is only up to 5 and that's pretty much how far it'll go.

Having problems with connecting to itunes Help?!

i updated iOs8 on my ipad earlier and it came up as connect to itunes but my usb lead isnt a genuine apple one therefore it isnt recognised on my computer

can i take my ipad to the apple store and say i need help and it won't connect to itunes? Will they sort it out for free?
