Ipad 64 gb Verizon vs Apple Macbook Pro 13 inch?

Ok so next week it is my birthday and I cannot decide between two devices. Should I get the Ipad 3 64gb for Verizon costing $829 or should I get the macbook pro 13 inch for $1, 199? I type documents, play games, watch youtube and surf the web. If I get the ipad it will be a replacement for a laptop.Is this a good idea? What is better for me? iPad 3 VS Laptop?

Hi, I'm 14 and not sure if I should purchase the new iPad or an HP laptop. They would cost about the same, and I have a little over $600 saved. Heres my situation: My old netbook is unfunctional. I DO have a family computer I could use, no one hardly uses it except my dad when he works.So, if I got the iPad it wouldn't be a replacement. If I had an iPad, I would use it for Netflix, iBooks, email, some light web surfing, apps, reminders. If I had a laptop, I would use it for web, maybe microsoft but I can use that on the family computer. Pros and cons:

iPad-
Pros:
1. Apps
2. Better for Media
3. Lighter and more portable
4. Durable

Cons:

1.No adobe flash, but can get around that
2. Does not completely replace a laptop, but does everything a laptop does
3. Easy to crack, even with case

Laptop-
Pros:

1. Not easy to break
2. Adobe flash

Cons:

1. Can't have apple Apps
2. Hard to read on
3. Heavier

So what do you think?

I really want a guinea pig. I've been researching since this March. I've looked at videos, tutorials about guinea pigs took notes EVERYTHING.
Then one day, We went to a adoption center for guinea pigs. Then my dad asked the person who worked there how much the insurance was and he was surprised.

Then my dad said, Lets get your mother a iPhone instead. I was sad and depressed so i just went along with it.
So i haven't touched my Guinea Pig binder since then. And yesterday i asked my dad if we could get a pet he said "Sure, As long as its a parrot/bird" i dont want a bird! I want a guinea pig.

So, I've been saving up for one i have 38 dollars and i might get one for my birthday if i come up with something.My mom thinks that im saving up for a Tablet/iPad lol. But im not.My birthday is in February and i hope i get 200-300 dollars by then! I have been getting straight A's expect in history i got a C+ on that. I really would like to update my iPad but I'm not sure how to without deleting everything. The problem is my iPad is synced to a different computer so it warns me that everything will be deleted if I sync it to this computer… The other problem is that not all the songs on my iPad are purchased off my iPad so whenever I do try those steps that sync your iPad to a new computer, it will only sync the songs purchased on my iPad… Please help!

Hello! I'm wondering if this is common? Can't seem to find an answer anywhere. Ever since the ios6 update I've been having a problem with my virtual, touch screen keyboard. The comma should be a quotation mark when held down.Tr question mark should be a double quotation mark when held down. Both show me a little pop up of what they SHOUlD be. But instead they just do commas and periods. Help?

I got an iPad for my birthday, the problem is I don't have internet connection in my house. I am not subscribed to Verizon, Optimum, Time Warner or any internet provider, my parents are too cheap to subscribe.My friends told me to connect to unsecured networks, however once I connect I am taken to a web page and have to log in to the network owners account, locking me out and prohibiting me from using the internet. "capitalize" the numbers key? For example if I want @ rather than 2 is there a way for me to get it? When I makeup passwords I sometimes use the symbol rather than the number, but I have memorized the numbers and not the symbols… hope this sort of makes sense?

Okay so my parents are both happily married. They love each other to death although sometimes I have my doubts about my dad. Hi, christmas is catching up with us and i've started to think about what I want for christmas. I really want an iPad 3 in white (i've never had an ipad before) though if I ask for one I will have to put £200 towards it which I really don't want to do.

Where is the YouTube APP for IPAD on iOS 6?

Firstly I'm a bit disappointed in Apples decision to abolish the YouTube app but when I found out you could get in on the App Store, I wasn't that bothered. However, I've been looking and, to be honest I'm surprised nobody else has highlighted this issue, there isn't one for IPAD specially. You type in YouTube and the app comes up, but its the IPHONE version, meaning it comes up small on the screen unless you zoom in which makes it blurry. Where is the iPad app? And how come nobody has mentioned this issue before? Am I just missing it?

Are First Generation iPads Slow?

I have been looking into getting an iPad and the best deal, when all things are considered, seems to be a first gen model. However, one thing that gives me pause is that they only have 256mb of ram. That does seem low.

But then again, i was talking to one of my friends today and he said a few months ago he sold his first generation iPad and got an iPad 3, and besides the amazing display, he didn't really notice much of a difference between the two. Someone else I was talking to said he has known a lot of people with first gen iPads and no one ever complained that it was too slow.

If I got a first gen iPad, would I really notice that it doesn't have very much ram or is it really not that big of a deal?

Ipad3 3G ATT Change APN Settings and save?

I have an Ipad 3 3G from ATT, i took it to india and when i wanted to use internet the APN settings seems to be closed.so i jailbroke my ipad and use apnchanger from cydia and browsed successfully.what i noticed was the APN name keeps resetting to blank and i have to input it once every half hour which is really pissing me off.
So i need some real help guys. Any suggestion appreciated.

Well, the other day me and my sis went to sainsburys and there was a iPad 4 to try out, as its new.
We went on all the apps that were installed and we laughed until we had tears running down our cheeks after playing on the PhotoBooth.
I liked it so much i wanted to be able to be able to do that every single day- and i decided to save up. I have about £213 at the moment but now im being sensible about it… Well actually i think i'll officially save up if the 16GB iPad 4 white if it comes with iOS 6, or an update so i can update it to iOS 6 as soon as ive set it up.
Also, do you know the price sainsburys sell an iPad4 16GB for? I can remember that its slightly less than what Apple sell it for.

I made an EBay account about 2 weeks ago and now I get an email saying that my account has be suspended. I was about to sell my iPad 2 on there BUT I never did I never used the account. What do I do? I DON'T KNOW HOW THIS WORK IM NEW TO EBAY DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR ANYTHING?

Stupid iPad! Freezes when I play movies?

All the movies that are on my iPad or Tom the propper iTunes store. I downloaded the kids movie rio and now whenever I try to play a movie, any movie! It gets to 5 minutes in and freezes so I have to turn te iPad off and on again.

Husband stressed out and ignoring me?

I've been married for 10 years now. Problem started just when we migrated to Australia a few years ago. Just recently the company where my husband worked had ceased operation and my husband was not paid a few months salary. I guessed he's very stressed out. Things became worse three days ago when I accidentally dropped my iPad but it was not broken. Hubby saw what happened and began to scold me, calling me stupid, etc… he even used vulgar words on me. And after that he just stopped talking to me and completely ignoring me. I don't know what I have done wrong to make him do this to me. I recently started college and my professors base their lectures on PowerPoint. I know that if I end up getting a MacBook, I can download Microsoft Office. 4od won't work on my iPad 2?

I've recently downloaded the 4 of app onto my iPad 2, and for some reason it's not working, I click on the programme and press play, and it shows the adverts beforehand but the actual programme itself doesn't play, it won't load, it just stays on the black screen, I've tried pressing play, pause, play pause several times, I've tried skipping the programme to half way through or where abouts so to see if it loads from there but nothing! How to stop a movie from syncing to ipod/ipad?

I want the movie in itunes to be able to put on the ipod or ipad when we travel or want to watch it. For tv shows I can simply mark them as already watched and they no longer sync to the device. But I am skipping a step or something because I cannot sync the device without the movie syncing back onto it. I would like to put all of my digital copies to itunes and then put them on idividually when I want to watch them but right now I am unable to do this.It isn't as if I have unlimited storage on the device. Its my 21st coming up in november and i really fancy an ipad2, i have an iphone 4s and a non apple laptop, is it worth it?
I use my phone for a hell of a lot, i find my laptop is annoying to load up/ get out/ have on lap so i use my phone as more of a computer when im watching tv, in bed, or genuinely out of office… , i have a large amount of computer like apps, i run a business so need stuff like paypal, ebay etc

So I downloaded the iOS 5.1.1 to my laptop because ios 6 on my ipad is causing me way too much hassle.i put the ipad into the dfu mode pressed shift and restore and clicked on my downloaded 5.1.1 file but the error message says:
'the ipad could not be restored because the firmware file is not compatible'

So, I did the update on my iPad 2, and it deleted the YouTube app. AND now the Apple app store does not even have an option to download a free or purchasable YouTube app! I did a little research and found out that the Apple internet Operating System (iOS) no longer supports YouTube. I am amazed since YouTube is one of the 2 favorite apps on the iPad. So i recently got put in a foster home and my mother is refusing to give me my expensive belongings such as iPad laptop and my slr camera. She didn't pay for any of those. Next time i go to children's court I'm going to get a court order to make her give me them. What happens if she violates the court order and refuses to give me them?
My social worker told me I could get that court order. And also, my mother hasn't been my legal guardian since I was 3. I was with my grandma for 13 years and then my mom stole me for a day.and she has my stuff now.SO it's not legally hers.

Should I still let her come over?

She came over 2 times. She stayed the night all weekend. All she did was go on my iPad. The only time I got on my iPad is when I was talking to someone and she said she was going to call her dad and go home, and I was only on it for like, 5 minutes.So I told him bye. Right once I set it down, she gets something to eat and get on it again! And I told her I had to check my email really fast and she yanked it away and said "No! Hold on!" and it really irritates me. She won't even let me hold it. She forces me to tell her my password. I tell her no and she says "Oh my God, whatever, Lauren!" and I type it in for her. Then she gets all pissed at me for not telling her my password. When she asked "Hey, Lauren, what's your password?" I said "Here, let me type it in for you." and she said "No, just tell me!" and I don't like giving out my passwords.So I said "No, Alexis, just let me type it in." and she said "Whatever, I don't wanna play on it." she got 1 hour and 35 minutes on it when we were supposed to get a turn every 30 minutes.So I told her after she kicked me off "Hey, you got 1 hour and 35 minutes, let me have some time, please." and she said "No, that doesn't count! You should've been in here!" I was on the computer while she was playing and the clock is wrong. I suggested that we go outside or something and she said "No, that's okay, I'd rather stay inside." Do I make an excuse for her not to come over? Or should Iet her come over and tell her my dad is borrowing it?

Accidentally downloaded something to ipad?

Last night I was surfing videos on my ipad on some site. I came across a video that had a play button to I tapped that.It opened another tab in my safari and it asked me to "save file to drop box". I didn't know I was downloading anything and I got a little nervous as I didn't know why it took it upon it self to download a file. I closed that page with out reading everything on it. I don't know if I actually saved it. I've read stories about people downloading illegal things like kid porn or something terrible like that with out them knowing, and of course I'm very paranoid, so I don't need the police or something asking why something is on my ipad when I didn't even attempt to download anything. Help me understand what happened and what I need to do to fix it. Thanks.

Stolen/Lost Ipad 2 HELP!

So, I bought my iPad 2 about few months ago.
And I did registered an iCloud account an enable the "Find my iPad" thingy too.
It was lost few hours ago in a mall.
But before it was stolen, yesterday, I restore my iPad to factory settings without backing up anything and I clicked the "Erase all content and settings".
So, is there any chance to track my lost iPad again?

If I were to get it, I'd get the 64GB version around December or January.

Okay, so today I was told I'd get Siri on my iPad 2 if I updated it with IOS6. Thinking I'd get Siri, I foolishly updated it. Now I'm extremely peeved.

I find out Siri can't be for the iPad 2, and my YouTube app is gone. I used it a lot. Now it's gone, and I'm not very happy with Apple.

My question is: Will Apple (or anyone) make the YouTube app again? I did get the YouTube app for the iPhone… But it's so buggy, I can't leave the app, and play the music while browsing through the Internet. Please help or let me on some info here!

SECONDLY
I CANNOT download it from the app store because it is only for the iphone, therefore, horrible quality, plus that ugly iphone keypad.
THIRDLY
I cannot watch youtube on my browser because its so … Horribly layed out, i cant work with it, and i cant even stand watching it like that.

I am so frustrated about drawing on my iPad. All the styluses that you can buy are flimsy and sticky and unstable and they don't glide well on the screen. I am temporarily staying at my parents house and trying to work from 2 remote desktops while I am here. The first RDP is working fine, the 2nd however cannot connect! I went over everything and discovered that when I use my own prepaid internet on my ipad (which I don't particularly want to use) I am able to connect fine, I only have this problem when trying to get on using my parents wifi.My mother was also tring to get onto our local credit union internet banking but received and error message saying 'internet explorer cannot display the page', and again when we used my prepaid internet, we don't have any issues.
