What's your opinion on this?

So, my birthday is in a few months and I told my parents I want the Ipad pro 10.5 inch with the accessories and they said no, but I compromised and said that I'd exchange my car that they were going to buy for it. They agreed, but now my dad is saying I can only get the Ipad pro even though it's way under the price of the car. I feel like if I'm exchanging it I should get all the money, it's only fair.

Microsoft word for iPad? - 1

Let me elaborate on my situation.

I got 2 assignments from my english class that are due in a few days and I was typing (has to be typed and printed) on my computer when my monitor went into power saver mode and now won't turn on, so I'm assuming the worst and thinking either the video card (graphics card or w/e) gave out or my monitor gave out. Either way I have no time or money to buy a new monitor or replacement parts and that's not my concern at the moment. I can get it fixed soon, just not now…

I forgot to mention I tried unplugging specific cords, replugging them and such, nothing worked…

I can get them printed if I can email the second assignment to myself, but I wasn't able to start it. The first assignment is on my flash drive thankfully, but I have the second assignment to worry about.

All I have is my iPad, which I got at the beginning of the year and now I'm stuck without a way to complete the assignment. Would there be any way to get Microsoft word on an iPad that I can save documents on and attach them to an email to myself? I need word or something similar due to the specific details of the assignment.
