Hotspot not working/connectivity issue?

I go to a hugh school with no public wifi, every now and then someone discovers the password and the student connect to the school wifi used for laptops ipads and the teachers. Recently, they changed the password and kicked everyone off the server. I have a phone wjth hotspot, the screen is broken so I usually use it to pair to my working phone that has no service.

Since they changed the password, i can't connect my hotspot to my phone while at school. Once i step out of school boundaries my hotspot automatically connects to my phone as i always have it on.

Is it possible that somehow my school stopped connectivity somehow?

How much can my school see on my iPad?

Hello, my school gives us iPads and I was wondering how much they can see on what I'm doing. They always say to not be on airplane mode because they can't see our screen if we do so. Also the iPads are reset to factory setting at the end of the year. So with these circumstances how much can they see?
