Laptop vs ipad which is better?

So i am planning on buying either a laptop or an ipad, I already have a laptop but it is very big and heavy a i want something a little smaller so I saw this one online at walmart lol and i thought it was very cute here is a link to the laptop and for the ipad I was thinking the ipad 2 but I am not sure

IMessage not working on iPad?

Back in August, I bought a 32GB iPad3 (currently updated to iOS6) for school (our school is going "digital").At first I had absolutely no problems with it. Until yesterday. I got home from school and I opened up iMessage.iMessage had suddenly logged out of my account.So whatever, I try to log back in and it tells me "iMessage Activation Could not sign in. Please check your network and try again." So I go to check my wifi and it suddenly disconnected (it should have automatically connected when I got home). I reconnected to my wifi network and tried "activating my iMessage" again.It still gave me the same message so my first instinct is to google my problem.It said to change my DNS to 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 so I did that. People said it worked great for them but it didn't work for me. I did further research on it, and I learned that if FaceTime is disabled, iMessage does not work. Since my iPad is for school, the school put restrictions on everyone's iPad and locked FaceTime.It seems like the problem is solved but not exactly. I had been using iMessage since I got my iPad on August 5th and it suddenly doesn't want to cooperate with me? I have an iPod touch connected to iMessage on the same account as my iPad and it works fine so it's definitely the FaceTime restrictions holding it back. But I really rely on iMessage for schoolwork and I really need it right now.Is there any way I can get it to work without enabling FaceTime? Why is it suddenly acting up after a a couple months of owning it?
Another thing, my iPad usually connects to the wifi at school but I had to contact administration to enter the wifi password and iMessage didn't activate there either.

Okay so this guy Jordan.we're both in 10th grade. I've never had a boyfriend before but I'm pretty sure he's had alot of girlfriends.
About a week ago we were using iPads in class to do research. (Of course no one was actually researching. Everyone was just taking pictures.) And then from the corner of my eye I could see him aiming his ipad at me as if he was taking a picture! And i heard this girl that's friends with him say "Oh my gosh you're such a creep taking pictures of her.!" So he was most probably taking pictures of me… (creepy yet flattering haha)

Then the next day i heard him say to the girl that said he was a creep "… girl in the blue shirt… " (that's all I heard) and I was the only girl in the room wearing a blue a blue shirt.
A few minutes later, the girl came up to me and said "Can i borrow a dollar?" so I gave it to her and she said "Thanks, it's for Jordan:)" so it's like he was too nervous to ask me or something.
Then yesterday he himself asked me for a dollar and I wasn't sure at first cause what if he's just pretending to be into me because I give him money? And he was like "you know you want to ;)" so I just gave it to him and he was like "Thanksss;) By the way, I'm Jordan!" and I was like "I'm (my name)" and he shook my hand…
I think he is really cute so if he likes me I kinda wanna jump on it… :)

Should I get a iphone 4S or Ipad 2/3?

Im thinking about getting an Ipad or an Iphone, But I'm not sure what one I really would like to get, I have a cellphone (Samsung galaxy gio) and I have a laptop, which is the difficult part, the cellphone is recently new, and the laptop is about 2 years old but works perfectly. Thanks: D

Cant install anything via Virgin?

Ok weird thing.

If I download ANYTHING using my home Virgin Media broadband, the installation fails.
If however I tether my pc or ipad etc to my phones Three network 3g connection, things will install perfectly.

I've been on the phone to them and they checked the line, done a packet check, and say theyre is NOTHING wrong with the line and connection to the router, after hours of debate, they sent out a new Virgin superhub. This never fixed it.So randomly I changed the wireless channel, things worked for about 2 days, then stopped working again, I've wired into the superhub removing the wireless abillity to see if it was a range or anything conflicting with the signal, still the same problem.

This does this on all devices in my house, pc/xbox/android HTC/Ipad etc.

Any one have any info or advice? as virgin will NOT and have REFUSED to send out a technician.

Taking in consideration, you have to go to a wedding that your girlfriend invited you to that is taking place all day on your birthday.

I murdered my family in my dreams?

Ok, let me get this straight, I love my family more than anything!
Last night my mom took away the iPad from me while i was watching anime/reading/browsing the internet.i got a bit upset but eventually went to sleep. That night i had a dream that started like before i went to sleep(mom took away iPad etc.) but instead of going to sleep I took out a knife from under my pillow (wtf?) then it looked like I was possesed and then my mom started to scream for my dad to get Marcus out ( my 5yr old brother) i got up and started to swing the knife around like a crazy person! I kept screaming to myself to stop, but I couldn't! I ended up killing my family…
I am seriously creaped out! What can this dream mean? I love my family! P. S im 13 and female if that helps.

Why is she being so moody?

My mum has been given an iPad for work, then she was given an iPad 2 which is more advanced, but we have been allowed to keep the ipad1 my mum works for the same people. Basically we have 2 iPads.

My mum uses the ipad2 and I have main use for the ipad1 because my computer broke recently. I share it with the rest of my family but I use it most of the time.

Now my sister already has a MacBook pro which she paid for herself because she already has a job. She's 21 and I'm 15 so she doesn't really need the iPad that much… but when she asks to use it I give it to her, and she responds with such attitude, something like "it's not just yours Yknow" when I didn't even say it was mine.
It gets worse when I ask for it back. When I ask for it back she screams and even cries. SHE'S 6YRS OLDER THAN ME
My parents have explained everything to her and that she may use it, but it's mostly mine, and she hates me for it

YouTube on iPad2 cannot watch official music videos?

I've recently purchased an iPad 2, when on YouTube I am unable to watch any copyrighted videos, they just don't show up in the search results, yet on my Android phone and on my MacBook they show up and play fine so it is not a geographic restriction. I cannot even find any artists' VEVO channel on here. Does anyone know why?

My teacher started looking through my pictures without my permission?

Ok so my teacher asked to see my iPad to show me a video of the bubonic plague. (I am homeschooled btw) & when I looked at what she was doing she was looking through my pictures! I don't have really any inappropriate pics on there, but still it's just awkward. When I asked her what she was doing she just turned off my iPad and told me nothing! I'm sorta embarrassed, should I talk to her about this? Or just leave it alone?
