External Hard drive or SSD?

I own a 13 inch macbook pro retina 128gb. I want to buy an external hard drive. I want to put movies, photos, and just personal stuff on it. And use the computer itself for school. How do both work? Lets say I have a movie on the external hard drive. I plug the drive into my computer. Can I just watch it from there? Or do I have to copy it into my computer and then watch it, and when done copy it back to the external drive? Lets say im on a road trip. I take out my computer and external drive, and I want to pick from my library of movies on my external drive. Can I just plug in and watch, or do I have to copy it?Is the speed of SSD worth the extra money? Do SSD's crash less often? Portable SSD vs Portable hard drive? Im a full time student, not some crazy engineer, or video editor. I own a gopro. Yes I would like to do some amateur go pro editing, and to keep my gopro videos on the external drive. I would mostly have movies, photos, and music on their. If I have my library of movies, can I watch it from my macbook, and another PC?

Im just throwing this out there. But is there a device that can stream over lets say a hotspot or something of that nature. That if I have my external hard drive, I can stream a movie to an ipad. I doubt that exists, but if you know of one, please share.

Hey so I'm going to college in a few weeks and I need a reliable app that I can write papers on. I was going to use Pages but the reviews aren't that great and it says it crashes a lot. Any suggestions? Thanks

My iPad is running out of storage?

My iPad mini retina 16gb is saying that the storage is almost full but when i add up the amount of apps i have its only about 5gb used. What can i do to fix this?

IPad 4 wont charge past 1%?

I have recently got an iPad 4th gen (3 with lightning charger).
Last night I was on youtube watching videos, when suddenly the screen went black.
I plugged it into the wall, pressed the on switch. It turned on and it was 1%.
So I let it charge overnight (12:45am - 11:30am)
I go down to see it and its STILL on 1%
I use the plug (12WATT) that was provided in the box, and also the cable provided
both seem to be working fine as it says my iPad is charging due to the lightning symbol in the corner next to the percentage.
but my iPad will not budge past 1%
I have tried the power button and home button reset… Twice and it hasn't worked either time.
Does anyone have any ideas why?
And what should I do, because I really need to use it?

Why wont my iPad charge? - 1

Is it ok to have 2 a Apple id's/iTunes accounts?

So I wanted an iPad for my birthday to read books and purchase a book series and the last book comes out in October so I have really nothing to read on the iPad… But anyways

I have an iPhone and a IPOD touch 5 and they have my first Apple ID on them I later found out To buy a book on the iPad it wouldn't let me and asked for the security secret questions and I had forgottenall the answers and tried to reset it but had also forgotten the rescue email address which I had put as a random email when I first made it for example: SBSBSVSKHSWBBSNmnawi@hotmail.com
Also my mum won't be bothered to call iTunes for me to reset it:( so I just made a new one today…

I now have 2 different apple id's that I keep the old one on my iPod touch cause it dkesnt ask for security questions cause it's where I first made it and have another one on the iPad which I wrote all the answers down…

And t phone… I don't really care about it

How to view magazines purchased through iTunes without an iDevice?

I used to have an iPad and used it to buy a magazine subscription for 3 months (Knitting Magazine).

I didn't realise the subscription would auto-renew for another 3 months. I've since sold the iPad and have today been charged.

How can I view the magazine with no iDevice? I don't have anything apple.
Or can I get a refund? I haven't downloaded it or accessed the content.
