How to completely reset a disabled iPad?

It's completely disabled and it tells me to connect it to iTunes so I did it its my first time ever connecting the iPad to iTunes so I can't really do anything so I did the recovery mode or reset and it told me to update the iPad so I waited 3 hours for that and at the end when it was gonna start the recovery thing, it failed because iTunes wasn't updated and I can't update iTunes so then I tried resetting it from iCloud but it told me that the iPad needed to connect to wifi which I can't do since its disabled. What do I do?

If I copy notes with pictures on an iPad4 to Word or send it to mail, pictures are gone. How to fix that?

Copy/paste the whole note results in only getting the text in the result.
I read something about synchronizing to Exchange, being the fault. Surely there must be a solution to this?
The student can now use Word instead of Notes, but still we have the problem of getting the existing note (with pics) to Word (or PDF).
Printing to a virtual Air PDF printer might do the trink, but I think that app costs $2. We don't want to pay:). The iPad was expensive enough.

How much is a (new) IPad 4th gen?

I broke my laptop so I decided to look into used iPads for my studies, and then buy a keyboard for it. A woman is selling her good condition iPad 4th gen (not mini, not pro, not air, just iPad) with a case and charger for $450 (CAD). Is this a good price? What's the price to buy a new one in store?

Why would someone WANT to hack my iPad?

I think someone has hacked my iPad, due to strange things that have being going on. Such as it randomly playing music and randomly shutting off. But why would someone even want to hack my iPad and spy on me? I don't even do anything interesting that some low life hacker would want to see!
