IPad app update help!

I accidentally hit "Update all" on my iPad so it started to update all my apps. The problem is I have my textbook on this app, and if you get the update for it, the textbook will disappear.Is there any way to cancel the update? So far, I've signed out of the app store, disconnected from the internet, and turned off the iPad. What do I do now?
Please help, I'm freaking out because the textbook was "school property!

How to get rid of pop up surveys from uwavou?

The survey pops up when I click on links in a variety of websites.It makes a little bell like noise and says I have been selceted from the XXXX area to win an ipad 2. The area changes and is never where I live either.

I'm using the latest version of firefox. Please help as this is driving me nuts.
Added (1). As far as I'm aware I haven't downloaded anything recently, i think I upgraded java but I can't remember if that was before or after the surveys started to pop up

Well Im 18 and have hbo go on comcast and wanna watch the late night subject but scared that I'll get cought cuz hbo go will send the history to comcast and they send it to my mom. Does comcast send you the history on hbo go? The home button on my iPad doesn't work, will they replace it?

I have an ipad2 which is almost a year old, but is still under warranty. Sometimes the home button doesn't work, but sometimes it works fine. If I take it into an apple store will they fix it for me, even although I can't exactly prove that there's a problem as it works fine some of the time?
