Is GarageBand a high quality music making app?

GarageBand is an iPad app where you can make music from scratch using different instruments, drum beats, etc.

I make covers of other people's stuff and put them online as a means of promotion. Most of them don't get a lot of plays and I'm wondering is it because of the sounds sounding very demo like, no matter how organic I try to make them sound?

Should I have small crack in Ipad glass fixed?

I dropped my Ipad air and it got about a 3 inch crack in the glass at the bottom. It works fine and the crack is flat so I can not even feel it when using the Ipad- should i live with it or get it repaired- and what are the repair options. Thanks!

Can I use the iPad Air to do course work in college?

I am a college student, and my macbook pro broke, I dont have a lot of money but someone is willing to sell me their ipad air discounted. Should I buy it or go with some other brand or laptop? I need it to write papers, probably do excel, and skype my family back home. Opinions?

How to stop my sis from controlling my life?

I am 14 years old and I'm the middle child. My older brother is fine but it's just my 10 year old sister.
Don't get me wrong, I love her to bits but., well:
I want to just chill out and she'll say "let's play handball."
She knows she is a better player than me and I know that once she starts she doesn't want to stop unless I lift her up and carry her inside.
So I would say no.
She chucks a cow and carries on with "why!"
She just drives me nuts.

Another thing… I am not the most attractive person in the history of the universe, I am 14 years old, short, scars all over and ultra insecure. I have never had a date before (I am a girl btw)
My brother had his first girlfriend at 9 and my sis has had guys fall for her since kindergarten.
She asked me one day if I would rather look like her (in four years time) or me now. I turned to her and said.
"I have acne, curves and battle scars, but I have already gone through puberty so I know who I am, you haven't yet gone through puberty so what you look like in four years is unpredictable, you will get acne due to hormones and you will put on weight."
She absolutely lost it! Accusing me of calling her fat and ugly! Wtf?
So back to my original question… How do I stop her from controlling me? My parents know but they aren't doing anything about it. She controls their lives too.
Prime example: we were visiting my great grandmother who we hardly see and when my sisters iPad went flat she whinged so we had to go home!

Why are kids on their gadgets so much these days?

I'm 21 and yesterday I visited my 14 year old cousin who I hadn't seen for several months. She was playing around on her iPad for the ENTIRE time I was there. I could barely get two words out of her! Every time I tried chatting to her, she just had her head down at her iPad. I found this so rude. I gave up in the end. I was disappointed her parents didn't tell her to put it down.

Do kids even know what manners are anymore? Can someone please restore my faith in humanity?

How does a depressed man typically behave?

Last year my father lost his job, found out 2 of his children were doing destructive things, had been working graveyard shifts for many years, financial problems, and maybe some more personal issues which lead him into "depression". I say "depression" because I am not sure, however I am aware that depression is real, I myself have been depressed. Basically he went to the doctors, they took him off anti anxiety pills, and put him on antidepressants. Things did not improve, he has no desire to find a job, he didn't leave the house for months, they have absolutely no income, almost close to losing the house, electric about to be turned off… Etc… Now the strange thing is today my sister told me how much of a lowlife my dad is, how my mom is going to divorce him, he is a freeloader, "he is not depressed he even admits it", he doesn't care about anything, he is not embarrassed about my sisters finance buying him his suit for the wedding and how they are not giving any more money to my parents and all he does is play on her ipad and drink everyday. My sisters are 27, 26, i am 24, and little brother 21. She also said my brother isn't helping at all and he and my dad need to be kicked out and will 100% by august if he doesn't have an income. I am so disturbed by how quick they throw my dad to the curb after he raised us and was a GREAT responsible father our entire life! Even if he says he doesnt have depression, something is clearly not right. People don't just change overnight!
Added (1). Oh, I forgot to mention I am not currently living there to judge. I live across country. P.s I think they are completely handling this wrong and making it worse for him. He prob says he doesnt have depression bc he doesnt want to deal w them anymore! What can I do to help him?

I am trying to update the IOS software on my ipad?

There are a number of programmes I can no longer get on my ipad eg most BBC TV becausr I need to update my IOS to 5 or beyond.

Following screen instructions of an update I go to 'settings', then to 'general' and then look for 'software update' - however 'software update' is not listed on the screen. Any ideas please?

Apple ipad touchscreen not working?

I have an I pad 2 and the touch screen has stopped responding, I can turn it off using the start button and the on/off button but as soon as it turns back on I just get the screen that says slide to unlock. I have been on the apple website but there does not appear to be much help. I brought it from Tesco Direct Christmas 2012, is it perhaps something which is covered by them? Any help is much appreciated
