How to charge your ipad without a charger?

So what happened is that I plugged my ipad to charge and after 20 minutes that thing where you plug in the kabels (it is old though) it made a little fire explosion. It wasnt huge but it lasted for almost a second and i quickly put away the charger. My mom tried to charge it in her room but it didnt want to and i saw that the USB charger at the front (the one you plug into the big white one) was a bit black because of the damage. And now my ipad has 30 % batery. I tried everything and it still couldnt charge. Can I charge it differently? Or do I have to buy a new charger?

How to downgrade jailbroken ios 7.1.1 to a jailbroken 7.0.x without losing data?

I have an iPad 2 that I jailbroke with pangu. Since many of the cydia apps that I need don't work correctly on 7.1, I wish to downgrade it. Is there a way for me to downgrade it to ios 7.0.x without losing any of my applications and save games? Also, to save the data, is there an iOS equivalent of "Titanium Backup" like android does?

What type of tablet should I get? IPad? Or something else?

I am 16 and last year my parents said if I get 5 C grades in my GCSE's then they will buy me a tablet of my choice but the maximum they are willing to spend is £500. I have just got my results this past week and I got 5 C grades and an A. Now my parents want to know which tablet it is that I want but I can't decide. I keep thinking about an iPad but apple products have a bit of a reputation for braking a lot. I want a tablet that has a good camera for taking pictures and a good application store because I like playing games a lot - that is the main thing I will use it for.
Which tablet would be best for me?

Why does it seem like one device takes up all my internets up and download speed?

hi, so generally we have 2 devices streaming plus me playing games on our internet which isnt so bad. But when a certain device streams all of our internet just takes a hit no matter what. It could just be that device and the down speed will drop from 18mbs to 6mbs. I have no idea why but it is quite annoying. It is an apple ipad 2 (we have another one but even when that one streams the down speed doesnt really take a hit).
ive played games and the speed wont really take a hit even with 2 other devices streaming it drops about 6-8 mbs. Im not sure why this happens i also have no networking experience so im not sure how to explain it to be helpful.
Added (1). also it seems that it is using a online website (not youtube) to stream a series rather then netflix or hulu. Im not sure if that could be a factor.

What should I get for college iPad or laptop?

Ok so basically next week I'm getting an iPad or a laptop and idk what to get. The highest my dad will go is $500 so that kind of makes me not want to get a laptop since I'm afraid it'll be really cheap and probably won't last long. Also, my dad said he could just get me a Ps4 but my mom would be utterly disappointed in me since I'm putting wants before needs xD Any suggestions? I also kind of want a iPad so I can play MTG on the go but with a laptop I could play league of legends/minecraft/diablo. I'm really indecisive atm oh and I was planning to get word on my iPad so it could be used for school.

IPad Camera makes face look fat?

I have an ipad mini retina display and when I take shots of my side profile on it it makes my nose look big, jaws look fat and chin look back.

In the mirror it does not look this way, does anyone else have this problem?

Which should I trust mirror or camera?
