My modem isn't giving off wifi?

Arris Touchstone sb8182 is the model of the modem and I have it connected directly to my computer as the tech told me.It is a local internet provider and he told me that I can connect it directly to my computer and that it will work wirelessly for other devices, but neither my phone nor ipad can detect the network. How would I find the network name / password and how can I connect with my Ipad? I am currently using a direct Ethernet connection to my computer and a line ran from their business for connection. There are no other ports so I am wondering if I have to replace the Ethernet cord with a different type of cord?

I can not trust anyone anymore?

I don't trust anyone anymore. Everyone who I know lies to me all the time. All my friends at school are fake. They are really mean behind my back. They try to be sneaky, but they are really bad at it. I only have a few close friends but I'm not even sure that I can trust them. I don't trust my parents. They look at my phone, my ipad, my computer while I'm at school. They always lie to me all the time. They always need to know what I'm doing and when I'm doing it, but instead of just asking they are sneaky and look through my phone to try to find out information. I feel that there is no one in this world who I can trust anymore. How do I know someone is not lying to me?
Added (1). Now my mom just told me to back up my iphone to the cloud. I'm suspicious of this. Is this another way to spy on me? Is it bad that I have to question everyone's motives? Is it bad that I can do nothing without wondering what their reason is?
Added (2). I never done anything bad in my life that I would try to cover up. And, while it is annoying that my mom always needs to know what I'm doing, I'd be fine if she just asked. Why does she try to be sneaky? I have difficulty sleeping at night too. I always need to be awake, or at least pretending to be asleep, because I can't trust that people will just leave me alone while I am sleeping. And the times I do fall asleep, I have a dream where I get killed in a horrifyingly violent way.

Really bad situation- headphone jack stuck inside iPad, blocked by superglue?

Before I begin, I know how stupid this sounds but this happened to me college IPad and although they are insured I can't get it replaced by apple for obvious reasons. So my headphone jack broke inside my iPad, however only half of it so it was deep down. I tried multiple ways to get it out, including the superglue method, where you put superglue on things to try and yank it out. Long story short, these now superglue in the port along with the original jack. I have acetone but I don't know if that will damage the iPad. Advice please?

Drawing tablet or new iPad for drawing app?

I draw for fun, not for anything quite hardcore. However, I've been drawing on the free version of Sketchbook and was thinking of upgrading to the paid ver., but came across Procreate which had many, many positive reviews.

I've also been thinking of getting the Intuos Draw Small sometime, but here's my situation:

I've had my iPad mini for about four years now, and it's going quite slow, plus I can't get Procreate due to the old software. A drawing tablet seems nice, but if perhaps I can just get a new latest iPad for more than one purpose, then… Eh, let me know what you think.

I have a laptop on which I use GIMP for graphic designing (just a hobby I picked up; it's nothing serious) if that helps any.

My company issued Windows machine has the camera physically disconnected (internally). My macbook (runs Linux), also has the camera removed.

I own a USB web cam, and it works with Linux. I am not sure how to use it with Windows w/o Skype. We are not allowed Skype, so I have no way to use it.

Security is tight where I work.

My phone and iPad have cameras. I suppose they will do.

Nauseating pain in my elbow when typing on my iPad?

When I sit back on my couch, typing on my iPad, I feel pain on the inside of my elbow and it makes me nauseous (same spot where blood gets drawn).

iphone A stopped charging when plugged into wall outlet. Dad said he will use phone A, and mom can use working phone B.

Just to keep same look and feel, I restored B's backup onto A, and A's backup onto B.

Now, phone B does not charge when plugged into a wall.

When I called the phone company and explained, I asked, "how is this possible that the working phone B, stopped charging when plugged into a wall once I imported A's backup"

Interesting enough, the person at phone company said, "soon iPhone 4 will stop working".

I asked what she meant, and she replied that newer apps will require newer phones.

Real Apple charger won't charge iPad after using fake one?

I had a real iPad charger which worked fine but then I got a new (or used, but new to me) phone which vame with a fake charge wire, I used the fake wire to charge my iPad and phone since I only had one adapter and th e genuine wire only charged the iPad, not the phone. But now that I ve found out warnings and cautions I should take with using a fake charger, i decided to go back to using the rea Apple one, but for some reason when I plugged it in, it started charging, then said not charging then I got a notice in my screen saying This accessory may not be supported. Is this anything to do with the fake charger or is there a different problem? Please help me, I need my iPad for school tomorrow and it won't charge now.

A Shimegi is a 'desktop buddy' that walks around your screen, duplicates, climbs on your windows, and does pretty much nothing. The wifi on ipad isn't working

it shows that it is connected to the internet, but when I try and access the web, it can't access it. The wifi sometimes works but alternates between on and off around every 1-2 hrs. There isn't a problem with the router, as all other devices can connect and use it. I tried everything that I saw on other websites, like resetting network settings to factory default, forgetting the network and rejoining, renewing the lease, turning wifi on and off, shutting it down for a few hours & turning it back on, and even restarting the router. What can I do to fix the problem? If it helps, my iPad is an iPad air 2 running ios 10.2.1.

Some schools removed technology. They said because the children's creativity could get weaker because of it.

But is this true? I mean, for an example: ipad pros are great for taking notes in class with apple pencil, and laptops help write essays quicker

But some teachers say that you learn better by writing by hand, not with keyboard. And it's not good to have so much easier to find answer to everything.

Ibis Paint or Sketchbook?

I've been drawing on Sketchbook (the free version) for a little while now on my iPad. I was thinking of getting the paid version since it offered so many nice things, but I also saw Ibis Paint, so I don't know?

Since I've had the iPad for a while, I only really use it for playing MCPE and drawing, and I still get a lot of gift cards, so I have a bunch of credit right now.

The headphone jack cover on my iPad Air 2 case is about to break off. It's one of those rubber things that you pull up on to uncover the headphone jack. It's breaking off at the "stem" that holds it on the case. Is there a way to fix this or do I need a new case?

Should i buy ipad or save for macbook?

I go to high school, and i'm going to be working for the whole summer. With the money i've gather, i could buy a ipad pro 9.7 32 gt (because for school work i won't be needing a lot of space) and an apple pencil.

That would be great for taking notes and drawing, since im an art student.

But, if i save the money, and wait for a year, i can afford a macbook pro with the new 2016 touch bar. Macbook could be great for doing digital school work and for filling my web scrolling that i do on my old iMac.

If i get the macbook, i could give my iMac to my sister, since she is already in college soon and she'll need a computer.

Do I need a TV License? - 2

So I don't like the BBC and don't want to waste nearly £150.00 on the organisation.
I don't believe we should need a license for a TV in the 21st century.

My license runs out next month and I will not be renewing it.

I will not have an Ariel in the back of my TV.

I will mainly watch Netflix and videos on Youtube on my iPad via the internet.

I also don't want to contact the TV License to tell them I no longer need a license. Capita who run the TVL are my ex employers and I want them to waste as much money as possible sending me letters, their con men coming to my house to investigate etc.
I believe I am under no legal obligation to contact them in any way, shape, or form.

If everyone stopped paying their tax it would be scrapped, like in Australia!

Do you mow the lawn every day, clean the gutters everyday clean the yard everyday do you fix something that needs fixing every day that's a lot of things that need fixing?
How long does it take you to make the kid's lunches, cook dinner and clean up? What do you do with the kid's after you pick them up from school?

How hard is it to do at most 4 hrs of actual real housework and chores and cook and then lounge on the couch go on the computer and spend the rest of you're day and time chatting on Facebook and streaming and watching movies and TV on Netflix and you tube and napping oh how hard it must be for you?

How hard is it to throw the kid in front of the TV or game console or computer and IPAD and have them keep themselves busy and occupied? It must be so difficult so stressful for you?
Certainly more stressful than a real full time 8 hr job 9-5 5-6 days a week right?
Added (1). Are you going to the grocery store everyday that sure is a waste of gas because most people only do it once a week. It must be so tiring to walk to the grocery store get a few groceries and then spend the rest of the time at the mall window shopping spending your hubby or wife's money isn't it?
Added (2). It must be so hard and difficult to sort the clothes and dishes and throw them in respective laundry and dish washing machine and dryer while it does everything for you while you walk off and do something else.

Running a POS system on a tablet?

I am setting up a POS system which is going to be web based (existing on a browser). I would like a tablet like an iPad, but have read that iOS and android doesn't allow external hardware (like barcode scanners and receipt printers) to interact with browsers for security reasons. How to go about seeking revenge?

Ok so I started junior high school in September and i was the only one from my elementary school who went to this one so I left all my old friends behind. But
I've made some new friends, a group of 5, and their all really nice except for this one girl.

I feel like she has a problem with me as she is always making out to my other friends that I am a mean person and spreading rumours round about me. She is also the only girl in my form so I have to sit next to her and she just goes on her ipad all the time and doesn't even talk to me unless it has run out of charge or something.

My other friends know what she is like and don't like how she treats me but still choose to hang out with her and be her friend.

And whenever someone is mean to her she makes a big fuss of it and starts crying and tells loads of teachers and try's to get people on her side.

So I'm kinda over being upset and trying to get her to like me now and I want to try and seek revenge on her. I don't want her to know it was me cos that would make things worse but i want to kinda ruin her life and get her kicked out from the friendship group.

Is this an okay way to make money at school?

Well my school is having a draw to win a free Ipad and the teachers are giving out raffle tickets to well behaving students. I've stolen about 100 tickets from one of the offices and im planning on selling them to other students for a price. And also photocopying to make more. so basically i downloaded jailbreak on it this was at least 5 years ago. Then around that time i was being stupid and tried undownloading it without looking up a tutorial and i clicked something and it just sort of broke int won't turn on and all it shows is saying its out of battery. Photography, filming, etc?

I'm making a birthday video for a friend from my iPad mini and i need suggestions as to how i can put whichever song i like as the background music to the video. I don't use iTunes, so that's really not an option. I've tried various apps but they provide music which i do not want. I don't want to make any payments with cash or something. I've tried flipagram but the music only lasts for 30 seconds/ a minute at the most but i need it to last for at least 5-6 mins.

MIDI with Digital Sampler Software?

Hello!
I have a keyboard that connects to MIDI (it can't be played by itself, and it's only the keyboard, like I can't change sounds or anything just turn volume up and turn it on and off), and a microphone to hook up to a computer. I recently watched Ferris Bueller and saw how he used the keyboard in his room to record sounds (coughing and wheezing in his case), and then play them back each an individual sound (on the keyboard). So… I was wondering if there was a cheap/free software I can get on either iPad or Windows Laptop to hook up and use?
