When using an iPad in a Wi-Fi hotspot, is the data unlimited?

I will be getting an iPad soon with the 3G, but I had a question about Wi-Fi hotspots. I know you can turn the 3G off and use just the Wi-Fi mode, but would the data then become unlimited? For instance, if I hypothetically sat in a Wi-Fi hotspot for hours could I use gigabyte after gigabyte with no data penalties? The plan I intend to get will be 5 or 6 gigabytes of 3G/4G data per month.

My Pinterest app is stuck, if I delete it or move it o ICloud, will I lose all my pins?

While pinning a picture on my Pinterest app on my IPad, it got stuck. I can use Pinterest on my desktop. If I remove the app and reinstall it, will I lose all the pins I have so far? It says I will lose all data, does that apply for the Pinterst app?

Ipad Backup not working?

Today, I went to use my Ipad, but there was a notice on the screen.It says: this iPad hasn't been backed up in 9 weeks. Back ups happen when the ipad is plugged in, locked or connected to wifi. I've tried all 3, none worked. I've tried to close the notice, and it didnt work. Everytime I click on OK, the notice just stays there. I cAnt use any apps or anything. How do I fix this?
