I will be getting an iPad soon with the 3G, but I had a question about Wi-Fi hotspots. I know you can turn the 3G off and use just the Wi-Fi mode, but would the data then become unlimited? For instance, if I hypothetically sat in a Wi-Fi hotspot for hours could I use gigabyte after gigabyte with no data penalties? The plan I intend to get will be 5 or 6 gigabytes of 3G/4G data per month.
