How do you record something for over an hour on an android phone or iPad?

I want to record my speedrun for Splatoon on the Wii U for proof so I can submit it on the leaderboards. Is there way to record a video for over an hour because my phone and iPad stop recording before they even reach 15 minutes. I would prefer not to spend money if possible.

'Shimeji'/Desktop Buddy for Ipad?

A Shimegi is a 'desktop buddy' that walks around your screen, duplicates, climbs on your windows, and does pretty much nothing. But they're cute and you can throw them around your screen and watch them desperately cling to windows as you try to shut them. But, anyway, I'm trying to find a way to get some, or something similar, onto an Ipad. I've found supposed ways to get them on macs, but I don't know if Ipads are even close to that.So, does anyone know of any desktop buddies for Ipads?
