How has apple sold over a million ipads when tablets been around for ages?

The first tablet was released in 1980 and it was called the Gridpad, Microsoft had a tablet in 2002 yet apple makes billions on the ipad launched in 2010. Why is this?

Should I buy a laptop or a iPad? I want to mostly watch movies listen to music, watch YouTube videos and just genuinely browse the Internet, but on a laptop you can use utorrent to watch all your movies and stuff and I'm just wondering each of the two's advantages and disadvantages

Can't get out the habit of having late nights?

I keep staying up really late ( its 11:13 now!) but I just can't sleep and then I end up going on my iPad and then I say up even later.Is there a way I can get rid of this habit?

What do I do if my iPad won't charge?

So I've had my iPad for a couple months now and when I first got it and after a while it was charging fine.It's only just started having problems charging for some weeks now and I'm not really sure what to do. I've tried loads of things like cleaning the plug, the socket and the adapter but it's still not working. When I plug the charger into the place on the iPad for it to charge, it shows the electricity sign to show it's charging but then it lasts for a few seconds and goes off and says it's not charging. Right now it's only got 4% battery and it keeps on switching off completely because it's so low battery. Can someone please help me?

Simpsons tapped out taking too long to install?

I just downloaded simpsons tapped out and I went into the app and it said 'installing updates' and it needs to download 200MB and its taking way too long so I just left it and after a while my iPad locked and it had to start installing updates all over again! And it just keeps happening, I don't think I have the patience to sit there and keep the screen lit up and wait 30 minutes to finish installing. Anyone else having this problem too? Or am I supposed to wait 30 minutes for it to install? Any help would be amazing thanks :) my iPad isn't jail broken or anything and my wifi works fast too. Please help!

Wifi sd card for photo frame?

My aunt is in hospital and we want to give her up my photo frame but if we wanted to put new pictures on it we would have to take it home and resync it with the desktop. I have an ipad with photostream on it and I was wondering if it were possible if i could somehow set up a photostream with a wifi enabled sd card (if they exist) so if we want to put new photos onto the photo frame we just have to add photos to the sd cards's photostream and they appear.Is this possible?

Ps the hospital does have wifi

Why doesn't every school use iPads and laptops?

Why do they just enforce that we bring a school bag with piles of books, copies, exam papers, paper, sheets, etc. Especially for someone like me with adhd who can type much faster than writing. I don't even have to look at the keyboard to type. All we would have to do is bring in one laptop/ipad to school and that would be it.No heavy bags no organisation hellish problems. But no schools ban all freakin technology because it's a 'distraction' well news flash: half the fudging class are day dreaming and can't concentrate because their BORED so your really just making the situation worse? And we wouldn't have an excuse of forgetting copies/books because it wouldn't happen/couldn't. Why do schools only care about being strict? Why can't we just go there to learn without pretty much all technology being banned? It really pisses me off all I want is an education.

Is it worth keeping my iPad 2 or should I sell it?

I know it's up to me but I want some advice. I bought an iPad 2 for $400 plus tax back in August.It was originally for college but it turns out to be terrible for notes and I strongly dislike mobile games. I don't use many apps besides a few of the original ones. I quit college for now and haven't decided whether I'll go back. Since all I used it for was to check email really, I can do that others ways and thus don't need it. Also, I don't have wireless at home so it's been sitting for the past three months.

Should I sell it?
Added (1). I wouldn't buy any other electronic device. The point is, I have a computer and don't need an iPad.

What does it mean when you dream of a song?

I dreamed up a song and this song isnt any song I have ever heard before.however I do find it quite beautiful sounding. I tried looking up the lyrics thinking perhaps I had overheard it from somewhere or something but found nothing even close… here are the lyrics that I was able to hear.

I have dreamed all the years
I dream all the things that I wish I could wish I could do.

And that's where I woke up. When i was hearing the song I was seeing an image of a girl that made me think it was me but yet it wasn't me at the same time. I wish I had my alesis micron cords so that i might record the melody. Or my ipad.but I don't.So I will likely forget the melody pretty soon.but it was a lovely tune.

When I think of the song it makes me kind of sad in a way. What does it mean when people dream songs that no one else has ever heard of?

I mean it could be that my mind is just as much creative in dreamland (if not more so actually) as it is in reality. Maybe I do not do enough creative things through out the day and it has caused a build up and came out in my dreams lol.i dunno.

What store credit card would be the best to get?

I'm looking into getting the new IPad. I have about half the money save up and am planning on getting a store credit card to either Best Buy, Target, or Walmart to use as the second portion of payment. I have no idea what card would be the best to use interest rate wise etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
