Can I buy ATT's IPad data plan month by month?

Hi, I already own an IPad for ATT, but has never subscribed to ATT's data plan before.

Now I am considering to give a try on the ATT data plan, but don't want to sign a two-year or long term contract. Can I subscribe the ATT data plan month by month without contract? If I subscribe, how can I terminate the subscription in my discretion?
