Haier IPD-157 ViewHD?

I have the "ipad", and I just got the haier ipd-157 viewHD and I'm trying to hook my ipad to the tv but I can't, I have the ipad in the dock and I have an Hdmi cable plugged in to the dock but it just won't work.
