My teacher went on maternity leave in January and I am not sure when she is going to be back but definitely not for another year and a bit. This means we have a supply who CANNOT TEACH! It's not even that he's a bad teacher, he just does not teach. He messed up our controlled assessment by giving us the wrong questions, which was 25% of the GCSE, and now he's refusing to even teach us. For the past half term we have been teaching ourselves. He literally just told us to look in the textbook, make some notes and learn it without giving us any guidance so that he could play on his ipad for the rest of the lessons. I am in year 10 and it's been a whole term and we have not learnt a thing! I asked him if he was going to teach us it, and he just said that we are learning it ourselves now. If you ask him a question he just says he does not know and doesn't even attempt to see if he can find the answer. There is sooo much which we need to have covered and we have not done ANYTHING! He is totally ridiculous and he told us that over the holidays we have to learn a whole 1/4 of our GCSE on our own with no help from him what so ever. We are paying thousands of pounds for someone to literally sit and play on his ipad. He is going to effect my future as these exams mean everything. Any tips on how to learn it? thanks x
