Have a folder of photos on a external HDD i want to transfer them to my ipad i know you used to be able to select a folder of photos via iTunes (haven't done it since the original iPod touch) now the only option is sync from Iphoto I can't import them into Iphoto as i Don't have enough HDD space on my mac i don't mind using free 3rd party software if need be
