I haven't used it for ages (for at least a months). It was working well when I last used it and even at that occasion I haven't touched it it few months too but it was fine.
Could it be possible that the battery is totally dead? I've done all the tricks and research online e.g. Holding down home and top button - I did all of that but nothing works. I've bought another cable to check whether it's the charging cable fault but its not. My only conclusion now is the hardware is broken or the battery is completely dead. I had the ipad since mid 2012 but i'm not sure my dad got it from someone else or not.
