I'm getting my private pilots license and my instructor said you can get an app called 4flight on the ipad and use the ipad as a gps when you fly. I want to get the new ipad air because it is smaller and better for my plane (Cessna 172). My instructor is in vacation i searched online and couldn't find anything that gave me the right answer they were all different and I'm buying it tomorrow he said you need to get a certain one so you don't have to go through a carrier any help?!
