How to get email to work on iPad?


I have had an iPad for a year and my email has been set up on it so I was able to send and receive emails fine. I recently had to change my email password and also changed the password info on the iPad but for some reason was then only able to receive emails and not send them.
I have now tried deleting the account and making a new one but now it won't even receive them either, can anyone give me instructions in how to successfully set up the email
Also, it is a blueyonder email address
