I repaired my iPad Mini digitizer, Everything works fine, but the screen is not responding to Touch?

Before I close my iPad Mini, I powered it up to make sure everything is working fine before closing it off. I realize that everything is working great, EXCEPT that the screen isn t responsive. It s also stuck on, "searching" at the top left corner. I have tried nearly everything. I ve tried to do a soft reset and I ve tried the YouTube vids. Does anyone know what could be the issue? If it helps, I ordered this new digitizer on Ebay (comes with the IC and the home button.) HOME BUTTON WORKS GREAT! I have a first gen.
