We have windows 7. My ipad is an ipad mini. My ipad 3 which is not a mini can open just fine on the computer. But my ipad mini doesn't. The first time I put it in, they said something like looking for hardware but after that, no matter how many times I tried, it won't work. It says not charging but that's about it.
