My 10 year old brother hasn't been himself, his mom lives with us but he just doesn't seem as happy, he loves me a lot, he says it all the time. He hugs me all the time too, I'll come out of the kitchen he gets up and hugs me and will stay there until I ask him to move, then he will cuddle me on the couch and sit on my lap, it gets my 5 year old brother jealous because he wants to cuddle with me too. But before my 10 year old brother didn't do that as much as he is now. He's also seemed a little bit depressed, I bought him an iPad mini to cheer him up, it hasn't worked, he asks me to play with him a lot.
He's homeschooled because he has bad anxiety, he has separation anxiety pretty bad as well. Him and my mom lived in a horrible apartment because my mom can't pay much. Once I found out, I told them to move in and I didn't mind, so my mom gave me custody, I remember seeing his face when he found out, his eyes lit up and he hugged me and started to cry tears of happiness. I've always been there for him since he was born. I'm also 25 and a girl. Oh and when I come home from work he usually is on my bed asking me to cuddle with him so he can sleep. When I don't sleep with him he can't sleep, it's something when he cuddles into me that helps him sleep. He just wants to be with me, he's the same way with my mom when I'm not home, we're both very confused of what triggered this behavior. He cries a lot as well, poor baby:( he's my best friend and I hate seeing him like this
