How to put movies onto my iPad?

My iTunes is busted and long story short I can't pick up any of my devices with it. I don't want answers on how to fix this, I want answers on this:

How do I take some videos I downloaded from the internet and put them onto my iPad? I need to save them on there, too. I need to put these videos (iTunes format m4v) onto my iPad without iTunes.

I have high hopes, internet!

Can reading on an iPad cause nearsightedness?

I bought the iPad 3 in about April last year and have read a lot on it since, almost two hours a day and I have noticed my distance vision has weakened rapidly. Could this be caused by the iPad.

Should I get a new iPad or MacBook Pro for college?

Okay so I'm starting school in the fall and want to know which one of these products I should start saving up for. I'm going to go to my local CC for 2 maybe 3 years and that's it. I'm leaning more toward an iPad because its lot cheaper and more portable, but I don't know.

So which one do you think i should get?
