My 6 year old has an old tablet that has slowed to almost stopping point. We need a cheap replacement and were looking at the ipad 1, which we can pick up reconditioned for around £125 for a 32gb model.
Appreciate we can pick up something like a new Samsung galaxy tab 3 for around the same but a lot of the apps, particularly learning ones, are only available on the ipad. And, yes, we have thoroughly checked!
Would appreciate any thoughts on whether the ipad 1 would be quick enough for his, basic, use?
