I live in my college hostel room and there is one more student in my room. There is only one LAN port in my room. So we tried to use a LAN cable splitter to divide the internet through main LAN into two so that we can share the Internet. But unfortunately we could connect only one laptop at a time when connected to a splitter. Is there some other option that we could use both the laptops simultaneously? Also throw some light on whether a Wireless Router or an Access Point would be helpful as I also have mobile phone and an IPad to connect if Wi-Fi connection is available?
