Starting uni in the next few weeks studying Interior Design. I already have an iMac that I ll take with me for dorms but for portability would the MacBook or iPad Pro be better? With the iPad I d get the apple pencil which would be better for CAD and Photoshop but perhaps not as convenient as a Macbook. Additionally my Uni has an iMac suite available so the iPad Pro may be able to offer more versatility since its better designed for graphics.
Flip side is would the iPad be too specific for first year when its more about learning the ropes so get something more universal like a MacBook and then get an iPad later or get something perhaps more advanced and learn on that when there's no guarantee the course leader/other classmates will be using this?
