Chemistry--balancing equation help?

I have a question on my homework that says, "Balance the following equation: C(s.2)H(s.6)O + O(s.2) --> CO(s.2) + H(s.2)O"
(The (s.2) is intended to be a subscript. My iPad won't type subscripts, sorry!)
I answered:
2C(s.2)H(s.6)O + 5O(s.2) --> 4CO(s.2) + 6H(s.2)O
Which means there are:
4 carbons on each side
12 hydrogens on each side
17 oxygens on each side
(And I'm following homonuclear diatomics!)
But my answer was counted wrong. I don't understand what I got wrong.
